Woman asked to sell stolen and found jewellery, court hears
A 21-year-old woman who cannot be named because of an ongoing investigation was conditionally discharged for two years today after she pleaded guilty to handling stolen property.
Lawyer Joe Giglio said the woman’s future parents-in-law had their house broken into recently and a number of items, including jewellery and cash, were stolen from two safes.
The parents-in-law suspected that one of their children had carried out the theft and opened an insurance claim to recover their losses. In the meantime, the jewellery was found and not to disturb the insurance claim, the in-laws asked the woman to sell off the jewellery, which she did.
They gave her €50 for her deed.

Shouldn't the inlaws be accused of cheating the insurance company, which is also stealing
