Beer is the real star at Farsons Festival
Thousands have thronged to Ta’ Qali over the past few days for the 32nd Farsons Great Beer Festival where, to date, more than 30 artists and bands have performed on two stages.
“We are thrilled with the attendance so far and it is extremely encouraging to see the enthusiasm for our artists.
“The festival has firmly established itself as the main event in the summer calendar attracting larger numbers of Maltese and tourists every year,” said Ivan Filletti, Simonds Farsons Cisk’s field marketing manager.
An average 10,000 people a day attend the festival, which started last Friday and runs until Sunday.
The live music programme continues tonight with Kyle and the talented Versatile Brass Band on the main stage.
Rock the Fest competition winners Twenty-Six Other Worlds will feature on the rock stage, followed by Rug and No Snow No Alps. Ivan Filletti and Airport Impressions will be performing on the main stage tomorrow while Mikaela and Band, BNI and Bridget Bone will shake the rock stage.
Music plays an important part in the festival, however, the main star is the beer and the largest variety of local and international brands are available. For the first time this year, specialty beers, such as Grimbergen Abbey Beers from Belgium and St Austell from the UK, are also available.
The festival is an event for all the family and the children’s area keeps the young ones entertained. This year, Xummiemu has taken over the area and filled it with exciting environmental and educational entertainment.
The festival’s official app has this year been upgraded and has been extended to both iPhone and Android users.

Why do we all have to see every year the same artists?? Haven't we got more talent here in Malta?
I know that there are bands that need to be there as they are crowd pullers but for god sake there are bands which leave space for desire and are invited every year!!
