SR Technics secures FAA certification in Malta
SR Technics, part of the Mubadala Aerospace MRO network, has received certification from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), for the completion of maintenance, repair and overhaul services on Airbus A320fam and Boeing 737NG aircraft types in Malta.
Since the opening in October 2010, the 150-strong Maltese team has serviced around 60 aircraft, under its existing European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) approval. This includes IL-Checks for easyJet’s Airbus A319 aircraft, together with aircraft maintenance events on four other European aircraft.
In September, work began on the first End of Lease, EOL-Check for easyJet. All work has been completed in the company’s 4,000 sqm 2-bay narrowbody hangar based in Safi Aviation Park at Malta Airport.
André Wall, President of SR Technics, comments: “Malta is an important part of SR Technics’ portfolio, acting as our Centre of Excellence for all narrowbody maintenance activity.
“The recent receipt of FAA approval for our Malta facility enables us to provide a unique service offering on the island catering for North American registered aircraft.
“Our Malta facility has built up strong experience in end-of-lease checks. This is where we see this approval being of most importance.”

Wow FAA certification eh! And my 25 year licence as an FAA pilot will go up in smoke in a few months time thanks to some smart Alec in Brux.
Charity should begin at home, 25 years ago no one anticipated us joining the EU and at the time of gaining our pilots licence we were considered pioneers yet my plea to have the matter regularised by the powers that be, fell upon deaf ears. once again many thanks to Mr Smart Alec in Brux, rest assured I shall not forget you.
