Forestals has revamped its portal at www.forestals.com to offer additional products and services for purchase online and introduces a payment gateway. The site is also optimised for iPhone and iPad.

The new portal has been designed to offer customers an extensive range of products, including domestic appliances, video and hi-fi equipment, IT hardware and peripherals, Playstation consoles and software. All are easily retrievable real-time through the new optimised search engine.

A stock control engine allows customers to check product availability at their preferred Forestals or Matrix outlet. The engine is linked with a payment gateway which allows secure, encrypted card transactions using Bank of Valletta and HSBC debit cards, Visa and Mastercard or Paypal.

Users may subscribe to a newsletter application.

“The revamped portal is another Forestal initiative to keep abreast of the continuous developments in the customers’ shopping behaviour and internet marketing,” marketing manager Tonio Schembri said.

“People are more inclined to make online payments now and we are in a position to offer customers a better choice and enhanced service.”
