Atlas Healthcare enhances plans

Atlas Healthcare has enhanced all plans and preventive care extensions which offer cover for standard health checks such as smear tests, mammograms, and bone density scans.

Improvements on the Private Clinic Plan include higher benefit limits for hospital and theatre charges, surgeons and anaesthetists’ fees, in-patient specialist consultations, additional accommodation, psychiatric illness, in-patient CT and MRI scanning for non-cancer related treatment, GP charges and alternative treatment.

The private hospital plan offers a full refund in supporting private hospitals, significant changes and there are increases in benefit limits in GP charges, prescribed drugs and out-patient psychiatric treatment, among others.

Cover under the AXA PPP healthcare international plan has been improved with increased US and Canada cover limit, alternative treatment and ambulance transport now being settled on a full refund of fair and reasonable charges basis, and increases in various other commonly used benefits.

The AXA PPP healthcare Malta range of plans has been widened to include glucose tolerance tests, urine analysis and complete blood count for members aged 40 and over.
