White Rock Summer Live is back, and after last year’s first edition, which featured an electric performance from Malta’s very own Characters, the lads behind this popular event have upped the stakes to present another night of fully-charged rock.

This Friday, Numero Uno at Ta’ Qali will be welcoming the Doors Alive, widely regarded as one of the best Doors tribute bands who, in the words of Doug Cameron, the assistant road manager of The Doors, “sometimes seem more like the Doors than the Doors”.

If any further proof were required as to the calibre of this UK tribute band, promoter Jon Wing summed them up pretty neatly when he said: “The Doors Alive is the closest thing you will get to being in the same room as the real thing. Close your eyes and you will be transported back to 1966’s Whisky a Go-Go and the sounds that made The Doors one of the most iconic and revered bands, 40 years on from the tragic death of Jim Morrison.”

Tickets for the event cost €35 (VIP with open bar) and €10 (general standing) and are available either by calling 7909 2468 or from Ray Auto Dealer, Sette Camicie Malta, Hard Rock Cafe Malta, Anthony D’Amato Music, Charles Grech and Co. Ltd, Wild Ones Rock Bar (Qawra), Kick Start Rock Bar (Sta. Venera), The Body Temple (Attard), At Mat Hairdressing (B’Kara) and Ty’s Bar (Siġġiewi).
