Malta will be represented by four bowlers at the World Singles Championships to be played at the Galactical Bowling Centre in Limassol, Cyprus, in September.
Sue Abela and her son Justin Caruana Scicluna have earned the right to play in the tournament after winning the respective men and women categories during a national qualifying competition at the Eden SuperBowl.
They will be joined by the runners-up in that tournament – Melissa Swift and Rankin Camilleri.
Swift was involved in a three-way tussle for the women’s title with Abela and Tiziana Carannante while Camilleri was edged to the top position by Caruana Scicluna in the final session of the men’s tournament.
