The police have issued a fresh public appeal for information about the 19-year-old Hungarian woman who was reported missing on Sunday.
“The police need to confirm that Agnes Revesz is safe and in good health and this can only be done by speaking to the police,” a statement said.
Ms Revesz has been living in Malta since March with her uncle and aunt.
On Wednesday her relatives also made another appeal for the teenager to be found, after she was last seen in the Qawra area on Sunday wearing pink Bermuda shorts, grey top and white running shoes, according to the police.
The girl is 170 cm tall, lightly tanned and has reddish hair with streaks of colour.
Her relatives are fearing for her life after a corpse believed to be Russian 17-year-old Polina Rahmam was discovered on Wednesday in a valley adjacent to Villa Rosa, neighbouring Pembroke.
Ms Rahman had been reported missing after she was last seen alive on July 17. An autopsy established the girl had died of a fractured skull sustained in a fall.
In a poster making the rounds on Facebook, relatives said she went missing on Friday, rather than on Sunday.
The poster, titled Disappeared, is written in Hungarian and says she was last seen walking in front of Hotel San Antonio in Qawra towards the beach.
In yesterday’s statement the police said Ms Revesz normally resided in Buġibba but was also known to frequent the areas of Sliema and St Julians.
The police can be contacted at the nearest station or by phoning 119, 2122 1111 or 2122 4001.
