The relatives of a missing Hungarian woman are fearing the worst after the missing Russian 17-year-old girl was found dead and they made a fresh appeal for help yesterday.
The police also reiterated their appeal to the public to help them trace the girl.
In a statement this morning they said:
"The police need to confirm that Agnes Revesz is safe and in good health and this can only be done by speaking to the police."
Ms Revesz, 19, who has been living in Malta since March with her uncle and aunt, was last seen in Qawra on Sunday, according to an official police report.
However, in a poster making the rounds on Facebook, relatives said she went missing on Friday.
The poster, titled Disappeared, is written in Hungarian and says she was last seen walking in front of Hotel San Antonio in Qawra towards the beach.
She was wearing a pink dress and white running shoes.
According to the police, Ms Revesz is slim, has red hair, blue eyes and carries a Maltese identity card.
If anyone has any information about this girl, call the police on 119 or 2122 4001.
