The Labour Party said today that official figures showed that the number of jobs created since 2008 was less than half the 20,000 claimed by the government.

Party deputy leader Anġlu Farrugia said ETC figures showed that 9,922 jobs were actually created, of which only a third were full time.

55% of those who found a part-time job had this job as their main occupation.

Such figures, Dr Farrugia said, showed how the government deceived the people.
