An 18-year-old Hungarian woman who lives in St Paul’s Bay was yesterday reported missing to the police.

Agnes Revesz, who has been living in Malta since March with her uncle and aunt, was last seen on Sunday in Qawra. She was wearing a pink dress and white running shoes. According to the police Ms Revesz is slim, has red hair, blue eyes and carries a Maltese identity card. She was reported missing by her relatives.

The police asked for anyone with information on her whereabouts to contact them on 119 or go to the nearest police station.

Ms Revesz is the second young Eastern European woman to go missing in a week. The police are searching for Polina Rahman, a 17-year-old Russian student. She vanished last Monday, a day after she arrived in Malta to study English.

Her parents, Nadezhda and Mizanur Rahman, have appealed for information which could help them trace their daughter. Over the weekend they were affixing posters in St Julians with their daughter’s picture. The poster went viral on Facebook with more than 1,000 people sharing it as they appealed for information on Ms Rahman’s whereabouts.

The student was last seen in Paceville at 4 a.m. wearing a red dress and black flat shoes. She is 1.68 metres tall, of medium build, with dark skin, brown eyes and long black hair. She was carrying a small black bag. She failed to return to the host family where she was residing during her week-long study holiday.
