The Maltese Embassy in Paris received a group of 30 students from the Sacred Heart Seminary of Gozo on July 14, France’s Bastille Day. The students were welcomed by Ambassador Clive Agius.

Some of the students, who all learn French at school, received their results while in France. Mr Agius congratulated them and encouraged them to continue with their keen interest in the language.

He said he hoped other Maltese schools would follow suit and include visits to France and the Maltese Embassy in their programmes. The students prepared themselves well for the visit, researching the sites they were about to visit.

These not only included the usual Paris landmarks but also other less popular ones such as La Vilette and Le Stade de France.

The students were accompanied by Ivan Farrugia, Fr Emanuel Saliba, Fr Laurence Sciberras and Joseph Ciantar.
