A Boeing 757 aircraft made an emergency landing at Malta International Airport this evening after reporting hydraulic problems.

The aircraft - a cargo version used by DHL - had taken off from MIA bound for Brussels but returned after a short while due to hydraulic problems. It landed normally at about 7 p.m. and stopped on the runway, surrounded by fire engines.

Other aircraft had to use the old, shorter runway until the aircraft was moved to the apron.
