It seems all the attractive initiatives are taken in the North while the South is lumped with a heavy fuel Power Station, dumping sites, industrial areas, Free Port etc.etc. even the swimming areas in the South are being neglected and destroyed, maybe the people in the south are considered second class citizens.

These Youth Cafes are reminiscent of the centres that had been began by the Catholic Action and other Parishes where many youth centres were built and fully equipped. What has happened to them? I am certain these ideas originated from these Church centres because they are doing the same function, with more modern ideas.

Obviously this is a very positive initiative and one hopes that it will be a success. However, I cannot accept the fact, that this centre was created to the expense of our local scout group.

Its a great idea only if I haven't seen those laptops and wifi which are destroying our relationship with others. Its really a breath of fresh air to see youths playing table soccer and discussing...and many other things which can be done such as billiards, darts, and whatever activities to integrate ....but please I cannot stand people staring all the time at PS3, laptops and smart mobiles. When shall we expect something like this in the Southern forgotten part of Malta ??
