A Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Pharmaceutical Technology course is being offered by the University’s Department of Pharmacy, Faculty of Medicine and Surgery.

The three-year full-time day programme is open to candidates with a chemistry background. It covers aspects related to the development and use of medicines.

The programme consists of study units in pharmaceutical chemistry, pharmaceutical process technology, pharmaceutical drug analysis, pharmaceutical regulatory affairs, pharmaceutical quality and applied pharmaceutical sciences.

Each year, students will follow internships that will allow them to integrate the scientific knowledge with practical experience in the pharmaceutical industry and in pharmacy-related institutions.

Students may opt to take up an Erasmus mobility during the third year of the course.

Graduates from this programme can pursue a variety of career and job opportunities. They are trained and educated to work as scientists and researchers in the pharmaceutical industry and in pharmaceutical and health-care organisations.
