Deloitte and EMCS, in collaboration with Bank of Valletta plc, are to conduct research into the fashion retail sector, encompassing businesses involved in the sale of clothing, shoes and fashion accessories, in an exercise labelled ‘The Malta Retail Review’.

The research aims to empower businesses to take informed decisions; market intelligent information is a key tool for the effective management of all business organisations.

A straightforward questionnaire is designed to take up as little of retailers’ time as possible to fill in. Deloitte and EMCS are committed to ensuring that the report is compiled within a few weeks, so that the review’s findings are timely, enabling operators to benchmark their performance against prevailing market trends. The review will, over a period of time, provide operators with market trends at national, regional, and even street level.

Deloitte and EMCS will provide participants with free concise reports monthly, quarterly and annually, with extensive regional and sectorial sales trend analysis, with feedback on prevailing market sentiment and provide insight on trends in key cost drivers.

The Malta Retail Review will be launched at the Corinthia Palace Hotel, Attard, on Tuesday at 2 p.m.
