Abacus fund arm appoints new GM

Abacus, the fund administration and fiduciary services group, has appointed Mario Psaila its new general manager to continue to develop and drive its fund services operations business in Europe.

Abacus Fund Administration Limited was established 18 months ago.

Mr Psaila will be working with managing director Paul Kneen to promote Abacus’ current fund administration services and explore new opportunities in Malta and the Isle of Man.

He has held a range of roles in the financial sector in his 30-year career, across sectors including banking, telecoms, and fund administration.

“Now that the Malta office is well established, there is a range of opportunities available and I hope to help Abacus maintain a competitive position at the forefront of the fund services sector,” he said.
