UK Minister for Europe at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, David Lidington, will be in Malta on Monday and Tuesday for an official visit. The visit is designed to strengthen the close ties between Malta and the UK.
The British High Commission said the visit was an opportunity for the UK to continue to work closely with Malta on the issues affecting both countries, making the most of the strong relationship and shared views in many areas.
The Minister will call on Foreign Minister Tonio Borg and Finance Minister Tonio Fenech, and he will meet senior members of the Opposition.
HE will also attend a reception onboard HMS Echo, berthed in the Grand Harbour, as well participate in a Public Dialogue "Europe: The Financial Challenges Ahead", organised by the Malta-EU Steering and Action Committee.
