The Dazzle Troupe is back with another edition of the popular burlesque show.
This time, the merry band of dancers, musicians and actors transports us back in time to the exotic Orient.
The plot follows the bawdy adventure of a hapless prince who, forced into an arranged marriage, flees from his stately home in pursuit of true love. On his journey he encounters some rather irate genies, talking camels, fluffy unicorns and much more as he struggles to complete his quest.
Often a showcase of both established and up-and-coming talent, Dazzle Troupe’s burlesque shows – taking place in various venues around Malta since 2008 – offer an alternative night out for culture lovers who like their humour rude, bawdy and, most important of all, entirely original.
• Arabesque Burlesque is being held at Marsamxett Regatta Club (Żmerċ City) tomorrow, Saturday and Sunday at 9 p.m. Tickets may be obtained online at www.creativeisland.com.mt
