Security with no strings attached?

The Times reports that Joseph Muscat’s wife, Michelle, has arranged for round the clock security services for Jeffrey Pullicino Orlando’s family. A very considerate gesture indeed.

However, The Times also says that the PL confirmed that the private security company services were not costing the party anything.

Dr Pullicino Orlando also confirmed that he is not paying for the service either.

So, who is paying for this 24-hour service, may I ask? Could we have the name of the security company please? Should any future security contract be awarded in dubious circumstances, one could then arrive at the necessary conclusions.

I know why Mr. Zammit. Because he has the liberty to ask what he decides to ask. Do you think he needs your permission what to ask?

Mr. Meilak, Profs. Cassola, being a politician for the Green movement, should be careful to at least be seen to be unbiased towards the foibles of the two main parties. Of course, he may ask whatever question he deems proper! However then, people will judge him on the content of his question. I believe Profs. Cassola would not mind asking the question prompted by Mr Zammit.

Maybe it is re-activating its very efficient 'security service' which provided protection to Labour ministers, MPs and supporters in the 70s and 80s and beat up Nationalist sympathizers who dared to even utter one word against the oppressive governments at that time.
Now you know.
