Palazzo Parisio launches Sunday aperitivo nights

Palazzo Parisio in Naxxar recently launched Aperitivo Nights, which are now taking place every Sunday.

An Italian tradition, these nights are held within the mystically-walled, privately-owned gardens of the palazzo. The gardens offer guests the possibility to wander around, soaking up the atmosphere of this historical stately home while enjoying the delights of an Aperitivo night.

Guests can enjoy an abundance of appetizers, bowls of bar bites and even signature dishes. There will also be live music as well as a bar and a cocktail bar in the gardens. Tickets cost €15 and include food and a cocktail. Guests can sit and relax, listen to the live music or even explore the secrets of the gardens. Dress is casual.

Christiane Ramsay Scicluna, Baroness of Tabria, who manages all operations at the palace with her daughter Justine, said: “Consumers’ tastes and needs have changed and we have created a more relaxed and chilled ambience within the restaurants and gardens.“

Opening hours have been extended for summer – for visitors to tour the palace and its gardens, or to stop for a drink, have afternoon tea or enjoy lunch or dinner. Extended times are from 9 a.m. to 7.30 p.m., with the restaurant open for lunch from Tuesday to Sunday and dinner from Wednesday to Saturday.

Traditional afternoon teas have been introduced and are proving to be a great success. Tea between 3 and 6 p.m. is served on a three-tier silver stand with an array of sandwiches, scones, jam and cream with pastries and carrot cake.
