Students visit European Parliament
A group of students from St Benedict’s College Boys’ Secondary, Kirkop, recently took part in the Euroscola Programme 2012 at the European Parliament in Strasbourg, France, together with students from other European schools.
The visit provided them with hands-on knowledge and experience of a day in the life of an MEP.
It was a golden opportunity for them to discuss current political issues with other European schools.
The group also visited various places of interest, including the Notre-Dame Cathedral and Petite-France.
The students were accompanied by their teachers M. Mifsud and R. Fenech.

These children are being given the right idea for modern times but I would not call it an EDUCATION!
Here is my explanation.
Whenever, one considers the employment of a farmer and a fisherman and amy craftsman and all the people are the Markets at Marsaxlokk and at Vittoriosa, their philosophy of emplaoment is to produce a product and to sell it according to Market forces. Then factories took over and started manufacturing using the principles of enclosing men in a small area and producing a product as cheaply as possible and relying on market forces to gain thier salaries.
This work philosophy emsured that economics of the whole world lasted a million years as all was sustainable with crafts and food production being all very necessary.
Then it was the era of services and people changed from manufactureing to giving a useful service as medicine and nursing , but this servicing quicklu got out of hand and unnecessary services came in all jumping on the band wagon of human weaknesses and they made a living by producing nothing except WORDS AND MORE WORDS. Religions and laws and Parliaments and witchctaft and entertainments and insurances and so many others who are all parasites of society, but as long as the WORKING CLASS have a fes more products to barther with these unecessary professions made life a little more pleasant for the real workers as farmers and fishermen.
But then an new era started in 1920 when the Bankers met at an Island owned by bankers and decided to originate Central Banks and Federal reserve systems to protect the people from Banks going Bankrupt and so they invented a lot of paper money or better still IOYs where due to the power and authority of gaverments, they could print as much paper and electronic money as they like. They "loaned this made up assets to gullible people who had to pay interest on these Paper IOY and so an new racket started. If any WORKER accumulated such a lot of paper money and he left it to his sons ans grandsons, well the central banks would have found it difficult to repay back the real value of the amount promised on the paper sheets!! so they devalued the value of the initial value and introduced a new paper money with a new picture on it, so the central banks owed nothing to anybody.
Now another European racket is on. In order to cut down unemployment, the European Parliament with all its powers is using theis paper money to finance very unecessary projects running into billions of euros so as to say that Europe is Managing. The clever dicks in Greece and Spain, knowing how this monetary system works, well they are overspending for they know very well that in order for the big boys at Brussels to keep their jobs they will definetily print more paper and elelcroninc money to save Greece and Spain.
So it is all now a knitted system where it would be very profitable to join the people at brussels as an MEP and thiese school children will do much better going to Bruisssels than me going to the Local Dockyard started wotking near the nO 1 DOck
Now if one notices very carefully many Maltese have got to know this and they are aiming for Brussels where the paer money is maximised. We have interpreters and we have Louis Galea and John Dalli and Louis Grech and all the others producing nothing but distributing all the worthless peinted paper money where the average man in Malta is given about 15,000 euros while they pocket 150,000Euros in Salaries and almost 200,000 euros in perks, So it does not matter if it is worthelss paper money they who go to Brussels are always better off when the crunch comes along, as in Greece and in Spain.
This is certainly no way how to run a country where the system is sustainable, but do not worry lads you have the right idea.
You go and learn about the European Parliament and its rackets and the beauty of the City of Strasburg and do learn how you can one day go and sitt among those seats to vote a feww billions here and there where some of all that will come to Malta to build our roads and renovate our bastions where the local man will pocket 20,000 euros and you 0ver 200,000 euros and nearing half a milion with perks.
But do consider whether all this is sustainable. In Malta we have a large percentage of our workforce in the building construction and Mepa has n o choice but to keep eating away at Malta's prime lands.
It is a good idea to send such young people to see the European Parliament to see how MEP live and they would do much better to jump on this band wagon thatn seeling fish at the Marsaxlokk market or taking strawberries from Mgar to the local Pitkalia, Jooin the rackets lads you do much better than joining any local dockyard and factories where the products are more than WORDS AND MORE WORDS AND PROMISES TO THE PEOPLE. Go for it lads take my advice you are on the right track Prosit to yo and the teachers who are encouraging you to go that way.
