Blood mobile unit receives 10,000th donation

The Mobile Blood Donation Unit this morning received its 10,000th blood donation since it was extensively refurbished and put back on the road in February 2009.
The donor making the 10,000th donation was veteran 40-year-old Aldo Busuttil of Zurrieq, who has given blood 26 times, his first time being in 1998.
He appealed to people who were afraid to take the plunge to at least "try it once".
