GonziPN’s condemnation of the Labour Party’s application to strike off the Electoral Register a number of people who, in the PL’s opinion, have no right to vote, proves one thing: that GonziPN wants people who have no legal right to vote to actually be able to do so !

Only the court will decide if there are any grounds to strike off the Electoral Register any people whose name still appears on the register. Joseph Muscat and the PL can only apply to the court when they believe – from what information they have at their disposal – that a certain person is no longer eligible to vote.

I understand that GonziPN has stopped applying to strike people off the Electoral Register because they know there are many more PN supporters whose name appear on the register though they no longer qualify as voters accoding to our electoral law than there are PL supporters who are not eligible.

GonziPN’s latest move also confirms why Austin Gatt, the minister responsibe for the renewal of the ID cards, and also the leader of GonziPN’s electorl campaign, has failed to renew ID cards, which had expired in 2004, if I remember correctly. Or will he make a miracle and manage to do in a few months what he has failed to do in all these years?
