About 400 English language students will transform Baystreet in Paceville into the backdrop for a flash mob tonight as they join thousands of their peers in the UK to celebrate the upcoming London Summer Olympics.

A flash mob is an organised event involving a large group of people performing choreographed moves in a public place.

Students at EF International Language Centers across the UK and Malta will be dancing to EF’s summer song Nothing Really Matters by international DJ David Guetta, which features Will.i.am of the Black Eyed Peas. The event will take place at 5 p.m.

Participating schools include Bournemouth, Brighton, Torquay, Eastbourne and St Julians.

About 7,000 students are expected to turn up in the UK.

“We’re excited that EF students want to share their support for the Olympic Games by participating in a dance mob,” said Mauro Cuervo, president of EF Language Travel. “It’s a fantastic way for our students to use music as a vehicle for language learning and to support the London Games.”
