Internet services suffer from GO submarine cable fault

GO said this evening that a technical problem on one of its international submarine cables to Sicily has caused a degradation of the internet service to customers.

"While technical teams are working to rectify the fault in the shortest time possible, contingency plans have already been put into action to use alternative GO infrastructure to minimize the impact," the company said.

Further updates will be issued once more information becomes available.

The company apologised to its clients.

Where are you getting this mistaken view from? Do you think that Italians will configure their routers to block websites from being downloaded to Malta? Perhaps not unless they are illegal. If these sites are illegal then (a) you have no business trying to access them without being blocked when doing so and (b) authorities are well within their right to block them. We are a sovereign nation but we also co-exist among other sovereign nations; this is not a veiled anti-EU stance on your part, is it? Just any other excuse
