22 million Italians tuned in for Euro 2012 final

Twenty-two million Italians tuned in to watch their side be crushed 4-0 in the Euro 2012 final by Spain, official data released today showed.

Viewing figures of 22,470,000 people were however down from the semi-final in which Italy caused a surprise in beating Germany 2-1 which was watched by 23,255,000 people.

The match shown on the main public channel Rai Uno had an audience share of 81.66 percent.

The second most watched programme was the US television series NCIS Los Angeles which had just 945,000 viewers with a share of 3.39 percent.

haha reading comments like yours would have made me wish england or germany facing spain instead of italy! that would have been a nice training session for spain!

not only are spain fantastic footballers, they also predict the outcome: they knew they would meet italy again in the final.
