• The Feast of St Michael of All Saints, patron saint of cancer sufferers and heart patients, will be held on Friday at the collegiate Church of St Paul’s Shipwreck in Valletta at 6.30 p.m. This includes Mass in solidarity with cancer sufferers and a Novena in honour of the saint. All are invited.

• The Maltese Diabetes Association will hold its main fundraising event, Dine4diabetes, on Friday at Villa Arrigo, San Pawl tat-Targa. The evening will include a buffet dinner with wine. Entertainment will be provided by leading pianist Vinny Vella Jr and his group. Price is €30 per person. Dress is smart/casual. • Il-Majjistral Nature and History Park is holding a talk by Mark Anthony Falzon on the diversity of underwater life and the joys of snorkelling on Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Coral Room of the Radisson Blue Resort and Spa at Golden Bay. The talk will be followed by the screening of the documentary Panacea (Promotion of marine protected areas through environmental education centres), produced by Alan Deidun and Monolith.

• Guided snorkelling sessions and on site talks and activities about marine life, organised by Il-Majjistral Nature and History Park in conjuction with Sharklab Malta, will be held on Saturday from 9.30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Golden Bay (weather permitting,otherwise date will be changed to July 21).
