The 18th edition of the Nadur Agricultural Show took place over last weekend at Dun Martin Camilleri Square. Around 170 exhibitors took part in the show, which was opened by Family Minister Chris Said. On display were agricultural products, animals, old agricultural and fishing machinery, local crafts and traditional Maltese food. Taking part in the show were the Mnarja, Andar and Ciangura folk groups, the Mnarja Band and the Ħamrun Boy Scouts. Soprano Georgina Gauci gave a concert of Maltese and Neapolitan songs, accompanied on the piano by Antoine Theuma. Nadur archpriest Mgr Jimmy Xerri blessed the animals and the agricultural produce, while Nadur mayor Charles Said presented mementos to all participants. A car show was also set up in the square.
