EC, the international English language tuition group, has moved its main functions to the St Julian’s Business Centre after outgrowing its Ta’ Xbiex headquarters. EC Central houses most of the company’s executive function and the sales, marketing, e-business, admissions, finance, IT, web development and human resources teams.
The size and location of the new headquarters, just steps away from the EC Malta school, caters to the constantly expanding EC family, which at peak season includes around 100 staff.
With 15 schools in five countries, and as winner of the language travel industry’s most prestigious award last year, STM Star Chain School, EC has made a name for itself all over the world. The new offices reflect the company’s exponential growth and its commitment to keeping its central function firmly rooted in Malta.
Prime Minister Lawrence Gonzi officially inaugurated the premises on Tuesday.
“We are all proud of EC’s success as an international yet home-grown brand. As a team, we put our hearts into what we do. It is the strong core values that we all share here that have allowed us to achieve our purpose of ‘helping students succeed in a global community’,” EC executive chairman Andrew Mangion said.
