For all the moans and groans that most of us unreservedly offer when road projects are in progress, one has to be fair and say that, in the majority of cases, recent re-embellishments of the main routes have had fantastic results. I just cannot help but mention the new access to Malta International Airport which, though it seemed to take a lifetime to complete, is a credit to those responsible.

Travelling around the island, the evidence is there for everyone to see. However, I just cannot ignore one particular project which, unfortunately, is ruining the overall picture.

Cospicua’s project has not improved. For all the empty promises, new contractors etc., it is still a war zone.

I am not a gambling man but I wonder what odds I would get if I were to bet that the monstrous Parliament and the whole City Gate project will actually be completed prior to continuously ignored Cospicua.
