Oh my God! Back to the "habbaziz" people?
We had such good ties with Gulf states prior to 1987, especially with Saudi Arabia, but the hard-headed, incompetent PN governments slackened, rather than widened, most of these ties with its persistent "anything which tal-Lejber did was wrong." Now we are going back to them, trying to gather what is left! And some spoke of Mintoff as being a "beggar' and wanted to crucify him. For example, the first CT scan machine, which in those days costed LM1 million, came as a gift from SA!
However, it is better late than never. Let's hope good deals are made for the good of our ailing nation, at its deathbed! May God hear our prayers for a miracle!

This brought back very fond memories of two Kuwaiti teachers in the 80`s as also their Charge D`affaire whom I got to know so well! Have not heard from any of them since then!
