ASCIAK. On June 25, at Mater Dei Hospital, MARY, née Camilleri, of Birkirkara, aged 82, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her husband of 53 years, Charles, her children Michael and his wife Marthese, née Cordina, Erminia and her husband Ralph Dando, her brother Louis and his wife Mary, her grandchildren, Tara, Lauren, Danielle and Gillian, in-laws, relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 8 a.m. for St Francis church, Msida Street, Birkirkara, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 8.30 a.m., followed by interment at Lija cemetery. No flowers requested, but donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

DEBONO. On June 24, at St Vincent de Paul Residence, MARIA of Paola, residing in Marsascala, aged 82, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her children Massimo and his wife Maryanne, Angela and her husband Norman Buckle, Mario and his wife Patricia, George and his wife Anna, Emanuel and his wife Margaret and Anton and his wife Monica, grandchildren and their respective spouses, great-grandchildren, her sister-in-law, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves St Vincent de Paul Residence today at 3.15 p.m. for St Anne parish church, Marsascala, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 4 p.m., followed by interment in the family grave at Żabbar cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

DINGLI. On June 25, at Mater Dei Hospital, JOSEPH (Peppe) ex-proprietor of Peca Ltd, passed away peacefully, one day short of his 58th birthday, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his beloved wife Diane, née Grima, his cherished sons Ian and Matthew, his mother Maria, née Di Benedetto, his brother Angelo, and his many in-laws, cousins, nephews, nieces and friends. The funeral will be held tomorrow. The funeral cortège leaves Mater Dei Hospital at 7.45 a.m. for St Julians parish church where Mass will be celebrated at 8.15 a.m., followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. May the Good Lord grant him eternal rest. The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at the ENT Ward, Mater Dei Hospital, for their affection, care and dedication during his illness.

SCHEMBRI. On June 22, at Mater Dei Hospital, CHARLES of Sliema, aged 77, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife of 50 years, ROSE, née Axisa, his daughters Suzanne and Romina, his sisters Iris, widow of Vincent Farrugia, May, widow of Eric Sullivan and Julianne, wife of Alfred Cachia, his grandchildren Christopher and his fiancée Sam, Rebecca, David and Lara, in-laws and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 1.45 p.m. for Stella Maris parish church, Sliema, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 2.30 p.m., followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers requested but donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be appreciated. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

In Memoriam

HAYES. My dear BERYL, it is 12 very long years since you left us to join your Heavenly Father in heaven. You are still sadly missed by me, your family, my family, all of your many friends in Malta and in England and everyone who was fortunate enough to have known you, but most of all by the many children you loved so much and who loved you so much in return. They are now such fine ladies and gentlemen with no exceptions. Iain married a very beautiful bride, Evelyn, and are preparing for their first child. Please pray for them and all the others as they face their future lives, that they live happy, healthy and holy lives. Our families and friends still talk about you and never a day passes without me hearing your name. Although I cannot touch you or see you, many times it seems as if you are still here watching over us. Please pray for us, Beryl, until we meet again. Tom.
