Update 2: Conditional discharge for possession of cannabis
Two Sudanese men were this afternoon conditionally discharged after they pleaded guilty to being in possession of cannabis.
Hossan Hamad Abdellah, 31 and Abo Ishakk Suleiman, 42, who both live in Marsa, were charged with in possession of cannabis grass. Mr Suleiman was also charged with being in possession of cannabis resin.
Mr Abdellah was conditionally discharged for four months and Mr Suleiman for six.
JAILED FOR THEFT
Cezar Stan, a 28-year-old Romanian was this afternoon jailed three months after he pleaded guilty to stealing wallets from two people in Valletta.
SUSPENDED SENTENCE FOR FALSE REPORT
Ben Jeddi Ibrahim Abdussalam, 30, of Tripoli was this afternoon interdicted and jailed for a year suspended for two after he pleaded guilty of making a false police report.
The report, made earlier today, was of theft with violence.
JAILED FOR THEFT
Sudanese Salah Addin Hassan Dulla, 23, was jailed six months after he pleaded guilty to stealing a mobile phone and accepting stolen goods.
He also pleaded guilty to escaping from Safi Barracks and being a relapser.

more foreigners going to prison , nice one, soon hopefully the Maltese are going to be the minority in prison. viva multiculturalism.

@ Laurent Caruana. " What if they were Maltese?" The point is that they are not Maltese but have been given the privilege of living here and have abused that trust and privilege. It is true that Maltese people do commit crime and they are punished in court for it, but persons given special privilege should be aware that the privilege can , and sometimes should, be withdrawn. Those who chose to immigrate to another country and get accepted should be impeccable in conducting their behaviour.
