Gozo diocese donates €20k

Gozo Diocese has donated €20,000 to Fr Martin Micallef, director of Id-Dar Tal-Providenza in Siġġiewi.

The money was collected during an annual open day organised at the home on New Year’s Day by Radio RTK.

Gozo Bishop Mario Grech last week visited the home and met residents and care workers.

The bishop also chatted with young people who were training and preparing for the upcoming volleyball marathon that raises much-needed funds .

“In a society that is becoming more and more individualistic, it is indeed heartening to see so many young people doing something that should be applauded and encouraged,” Mgr Grech said.
