Honda’s ninth-generation Civic made its Malta debut in adventurous fashion earlier this month in keeping with its sporty, elegant spirit.

A self-operated barge carried a gleaming white Civic inshore as guests awaited its arrival at Neptune’s waterpolo pitch in Balluta Bay.

Manfred Galea, Honda brand manager at Associated Motors, explained the new Civic builds on the core strengths of its predecessor.

In development for four years, this latest model boasts mostly new components – significant development has been channelled into improving the suspension further, even higher quality interiors, styling and aerodynamics, and efficient engines.

The new Honda Civic is one of the sector’s best performers: its 2.2 i-DTEC diesel engine model produces just 110g/km with 150 PS and 350 Nm of torque.

The Civic comes to Malta with 1.4 i-VTEC, 1.8 i-VTEC and 2.2 i-DTEC engines and is currently available for test drives. Bookings may be made on 22781 222 or at honda@zamgroup.com.
