A 27-year-old man from Birkirkara, Wayne Falzon, today pleaded not guilty to producing counterfeit bank notes and being in illegal possession of a firearm. He was also accused of relapsing.

He was arrested yesterday after a police raid on his home in Psaila Street, Birkirkara.

The police found two printers and a number of holograms lifted from packets of cigarettes and used in the production of the false banknotes. They also found a number of stolen iPhones and iPads.

Bail was granted against a personal guarantee €15,000 and a deposit of €500.
