World renowned flower arranger gives display in Malta

Excited members of the Upper San Ġwann Flower Arranging Society were in a state of high excitement recently, when the world renowned exponent of the art of putting blooms in a pot, Frau Greta Schickleburger of Munich... Germany, gave a demonstration of her art to an excited full house of excited members.

Afterwards, tea and bratwurst were served and – in a short speech – the chairperson ofthe Upper San Ġwann Flower Arranging Society, Mrs Tizzianna Caruana Colostrum, thanked Frau Schickelburger for gracing the Upper San Ġwann Flower Arranging Society with her distinguished presence.

She opined that: “The Upper San Ġwann Flower Arranging Society is indeed honoured to be addressed by the person who is rightly regarded as the number one world authority on delphiniums and is also the best-selling author of books such as The Delphiniums And I... A Delphinium On My Doorstep and... Don’t Pick The Delphiniums.

And, of course, Frau Schickelburger has given demonstrations of her craft all over the world, in fact, there are very few places where she hasn’t stuck her delphiniums. And today we at the Upper San Ġwann Flower Arranging Society are proud that she has chosen us as her latest port of call on her worthy global mission to extol the qualities of the humble delphinium as a bloom for all seasons.”

In reply, Frau Schickelburger replied: “Danke schoen.”

To round off the evening, a paper money collection raised €4.27 in aid of the San Ġwann Distressed Flower Arrangers Society.
