The General Workers' Union is boycotting a reception being held by the British High Commissioner Louise Stanton at her residence tomorrow.

In a letter to the Commissioner, the union said it would not be attending in protest at the approach adopted by the Commission's office towards Maltese employees and the union.

The union accused the High Commission's approach of being anti-union.

It said that such matters could not easily be forgotten, especially since no steps had been taken to provide remedies.

The GWU recently accused the High Commission of breaching employment law, a claim the Commission has denied.
