A restored World War II siren will be sounded daily from today, marking the anniversary of the first aerial attacks on Malta.

The siren was saved by Heritage Malta from the former shipyard and is being housed at the National War Museum.

Two other sirens, found in the same shipyard, will be displayed at the Naval Dockyard section within the Malta Maritime Museum’s Royal Navy Hall and Heritage Malta’s Industrial Heritage collection.
