Enemalta will soon launch a new service that will facilitate the provision of temporary electricity supply at construction sites.

The service was drawn up in collaboration with the Malta Developers’ Association, which has in the past requested this facility because contractors often have to illegally borrow domestic electricity.

As from next month, Enemalta will be accepting applications at the ARMS Ltd offices in Gattard House, Blata l-Bajda and the Water Services Corporation offices in Victoria.

The temporary electricity supply will be provided for six months with the possibility of renewing the service up to three years.

Enemalta said the tailor-made service would help curb illegal activities including the borrowing of an electricity supply from neighbours, which carried health and safety risks.
