EU Climate Change Commissioner at University on Environment Day

EU Commissioner for Climate Action Connie Hedegaard spent World Environment Day last Tuesday at the University attending the third meeting of the Forum of Legal Experts on Adaptation to Climate Change that was being held last week.

The forum aims to support the European Commission’s Directorate General CLIMA in its work on adaptation to climate change and, to serve as a place of discussion, continuing educa­tion and advice on developing a legal framework for adaptation to climate change in the EU and beyond. It is composed of top academics from European uni­versities including the Catholic University of Leuven, Utrecht Uni­versity, Tilburg University, Uni­versity College London and Imperial College London.
