KPMG Malta has won the Best Tax Firm of the Year award which is organised by the publishers of the renowned tax journal The International Tax Review. At the award giving ceremony, Ralph Cunningham, managing editor of The International Tax Review stated: “Only companies and firms that have done work that has stood out have been nominated for these awards”.
Pierre Portelli, a partner at KPMG’s tax practice in Malta, who was present for the award at the 8th Annual European Tax Awards gala dinner held at the Dorchester Hotel in London, expressed his satisfaction for the award. He commented that KPMG’s efforts to promote the continued training and education of its staff has allowed the firm to develop a very strong tax team with an in depth understanding of tax issues that enables them to offer sound solutions to their clients.
André Zarb, head of tax at KPMG, was quick to point out that this award also highlights the client’s satisfaction with KPMG’s service, as the panel of judges carried out client interviews in order to reach their decision: “Meeting our clients’ needs by providing them with innovative and practical solutions is our objective. It is indeed satisfying to witness their positive response.”
