Updated - Mosta man not guilty of double attempted murder

Jailed four years for grievous bodily harm

Jurors this evening found Carmelo Camilleri, 61 of Mosta not guilty of the attempted murder of a mother and her son in the afternoon of August 8, 2009.

He was, however, jailed for four years on conviction for causing grievous bodily harm, firing a firearm in public and relapsing.

Mr Camilleri had shot at Marija Galea and her son Clint, using a shotgun.

The incident was sparked by an unpaid bill for repairs after a minor traffic accident involving another of Mr Galea's sons.
