Italy will keep playing their Six Nations matches at Rome’s Stadio Olimpico until at least 2015, the Italian Rugby Federation said this week.

Italy attracted a total of more than 125,000 spectators to their two home Six Nations matches against England and Scotland this year.

It was the first time they had played the Six Nations at the 70,000 capacity Olimpico after moving from the much smaller Stadio Flaminio.

Italy lost their first match at the stadium 19-15 to England but made up for that with a 13-6 success over Scotland to ensure they avoided the wooden spoon.
