MRFU renew Cisk sponsorship deal

Simonds Farsons Cisk have renewed their sponsorship agreement with the Malta Rugby Football Union (MRFU) for the next three years through its flagship brand, Cisk Lager.

Cisk Lager has been supporting the MRFU since the very beginning when rugby was still a little-known sport on the islands.

The recent agreement is a clear indication of the brand’s long-term investment in this thrilling sport whose popularity is growing every year, Simonds Farsons Cisk said in a statement.

“We have seen enormous developments in rugby throughout these years and we are proud to have always been involved in the progress and success of this sport in the local scene,” Marco Debono, brand executive for Cisk Lager, said.

Martin Galea, president of the MRFU, said that the constant support of sponsors is the foundation of the extraordinary achievements of the Maltese rugby community.

“It is only through the unwavering support of Cisk Lager and other sponsors that we are able to progress and achieve success, both at international and local level.”

Malta are currently ranked 43rd in the International Rugby Board (IRB) world rankings.
