Maltapost yesterday unveiled a mobile post office created by converting a Scammell tractor built in 1965.

The tractor, which used to belong to Farsons, will be used by Maltapost for special occasions and events. The project took two years to complete and was inaugurated by Communications Minister Austin Gatt in Valletta yesterday.

Dr Gatt said the post office on wheels would be an attraction for philatelists but would also promote the services of the now privatised postal company.
