A man was conditionally discharged for two years for breaking into his neighbour’s flat in Fgura and trashing it following an argument on Friday.
Pierre Sghendo, 35, admitted to causing about €2,000 worth of damage to Luke Vella’s apartment.
Magistrate Anthony Vella heard how the argument started when a stone from Mr Vella’s property fell into Mr Sghendo’s property and caused damage.
Mr Sghendo phoned Mr Vella, who was not at home, and they got into an argument. Mr Sghendo then stormed into Mr Vella’s apartment and, in a fit of rage, damaged various items, including the main door.
He will be paying for the damage caused. The court also bound him not to harass Mr Vella fortwo years. Police Inspector Jurgen Vella prosecuted. Lawyer Franco Debono represented the accused.
