Prestigious award for Cisk Export

Cisk Premium Lager Beer, known as Cisk Export, was recently awarded a silver medal in the ‘International Style Lager’ category in the 2012 World Beer Cup organised by the Brewers Association.

This is the second time that Cisk Export has been recognised by the World Beer Cup.

The competition, referred to as the ‘Olympics of Beer Competition’, saw around 4,000 entries from 828 breweries in 56 countries.

Farsons Chief Executive Officer Norman Aquilina said: “We are extremely proud of this significant success for Cisk Export. This award follows a long list of other awards presented to the Cisk brand that acknowledges excellent quality as well as the unwavering commitment of the company and its employees to delivering quality award-winning beers.”

Cisk Export is a bottom-fermented beer distinguished by its light golden colour and its lively, dense head. Its well balanced character resulting from its rich hop aroma and delicate bitterness make it a smooth, exceptional beer. Its alcohol content is five per cent ABV.

Meanwhile, work on the new €12.5 million state-of-the-art brewhouse is nearing completion.
