Lift up your hearts

Douglas Kmiec, former US Ambassador in Malta recently launched his book Lift up your Hearts.

The book features a foreword by the ambassador’s good friend, actor Martin Sheen.

The book was written after the tragic accident in which Kmiec lost two of his closest friends.

It talks of the ambassador’sresignation when he saw thathis inter-faith diplomacy inMalta was not supported by the State Department.

The book provides insights and reflections that may be transferable to one’s own challenges in life.

Kmiec is seen as a voice which is powerful in both the world of faith as well as that of politics.

He shows that the two spheres can co-operate for the common good. His book gives insightinto the tragedy that he experienced, but still allows for hope to shine through.
